Divide And Verification The Answer – My Study Level
Relation Between Dividend, Divisor, Quotient and Reminder
Dividend = Divisor x Quotient + Reminder
When we divide 14 x 4, we get 3 as the Quotient and 2 as reminder.
Divisor x Quotient + Reminder = 4 x 3 + 2
= 12 + 2 = 14 = Dividend
Example:
In my school, there are 4192 students in total in classes I to VIII. If the number of students is same in all classes. How many students are there in each class?
Solution: Total number of students = 4192
Number of classes = 8
Number of students in each class = 4192 ÷ 8
= 524
Thus, there are 524 students in each class.
