प्यासा कौवा – Thirsty Crow Story For Small Kids
एक कौवा बहुत प्यासा था। वह पानी की खोज में इधर उधर उड़ने लगा। प्यास के मारे बहुत दूर तक उड़ान भरने में असमर्थ था। एक वह बगीचे में गया। उसे कहीं भी पानी के दर्शन नहीं हुए। तभी उसने दूर एक घड़ा देखा। वह बड़ी उत्सुकता के साथ खड़े के पास पहुंचा। घड़े के मुंह पर बैठ कर उसने देखा कि घड़े के तले में पानी था। परंतु उसकी चोंच पानी तक नहीं पहुंच पा रही थी। उसने बार–बार प्रयास किया लेकिन उसके सारे प्रयास विफल रहे। इस पर भी वह निराश नहीं हुआ। अब उसको पानी तो मिल गया था। परंतु उस तक कैसे पहुंचा जाये यह उसके लिए एक बहुत बड़ी समस्या बन गई थी।
घड़े के पास कई छोटे छोटे पत्थर के टुकड़े पड़े हुए थे। उसने एक उपाय सोचा, अब उसकी सफलता नजदीक थी। मन ही मन वह बहुत प्रसन्न हुआ। उसने बड़े उत्साह और लगन के साथ पत्थर के छोटे छोटे टुकडे अपनी चोंच में उठाए और उन्हें एक–एक करके घड़े में डालने लगा। उसने देखा कि धीरे–धीरे घड़े के तले में पड़ा पानी ऊपर की ओर उठ रहा है। उसने दोगुने उत्साह से पत्थर के टुकड़े घड़े में डाले। अंत में उसे सफलता मिल गई। घड़े का पानी घड़े के मुंह तक आ गया। अब उस की चोंच पानी तक सरलता से पहुंच रही थी। उसने जी भर पानी पिया और उसे अपने प्रयासों पर प्रसन्नता भी हो रही थी। वास्तव में कठिन से कठिन काम भी प्रयत्न करने से सफल हो जाते हैं।
शिक्षा: कभी भी धैर्य को नहीं छोड़ना चाहिए।

Thirsty Crow Stories
A crow was very thirsty. He started flying here and there in search of water. He was unable to fly very far out of thirst. One he went to the garden. He did not see water anywhere. Then he saw a pitcher in the distance. He approached the stand with great curiosity. Sitting on the mouth of the pitcher, he saw that there was water in the bottom of the pitcher. But his beak could not reach the water. He tried again and again but all his efforts failed. Even this he was not disappointed. Now he had got water. But how to reach him had become a big problem for him.
Many small stone pieces were lying near the pot. He thought of a solution, now his success was near. He was very happy in his heart. With great enthusiasm and diligence, he picked up small pieces of stone in his beak and started pouring them one by one into the pitcher. He saw that slowly the water lying at the bottom of the pitcher was rising upwards. He put the pieces of stone into the pitcher with double enthusiasm. In the end he got success. The water of the pitcher came up to the mouth of the pitcher. Now his beak was reaching the water easily. He drank water throughout his life and was also pleased with his efforts. In fact, even the most difficult tasks become successful with effort.
Lesson: Never give up on patience.
